Terms of Use.

Effective August 2, 2026. These terms cover this website. They are written to be read — and if anything here is unclear, ask: admin@austinhealthadvisory.com.

The basics

Who we are

Austin Healthcare Advisory is a registered trade name (d/b/a) of Pointed Ventures LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company. When this site says “AHA,” “we,” or “us,” that is who it means — and any engagement, invoice, or agreement you enter with Austin Healthcare Advisory is with Pointed Ventures LLC. Contact: admin@austinhealthadvisory.com.

What these terms cover — and what they don’t

These terms govern your use of this website only. Client engagements are governed exclusively by the written engagement agreement signed by both sides — the charter described on the methodology page. Nothing on this site adds to, varies, or substitutes for the terms of a signed agreement, and descriptions here of how we work — including statements about accountability and outcomes — describe our approach; they are not offers, warranties, or performance guarantees.

The content and the tools

Site content is general information, not advice

Everything published here, including the Field Notes, is general information about how AHA works and how we think about practice operations. It is not medical, legal, financial, or accounting advice, and it is not advice about your practice — every practice’s situation is different, and general guidance can be wrong for a specific case. Don’t act on something you read here without advice specific to your situation.

The Practice Stability Check

The Stability Check is a self-assessment: twelve statements you score yourself, tallied entirely in your browser. Your answers and results are never transmitted, stored, or seen by us — the page visit itself is counted in our aggregate, cookieless analytics like any other page, and nothing more. The readings it produces are generic interpretations of your own selections, not a diagnosis, assessment, or recommendation regarding your practice. Using it creates no engagement and no client relationship, and decisions you make in reliance on a reading are your own.

Contacting us

No engagement by contact

Writing to us — by the contact form or by email — does not create an engagement or client relationship, no matter what the message contains. Engagements begin only under a written agreement signed by both sides.

What “confidential” means before an engagement

This site says inquiries are confidential, and here is exactly what that means: we treat pre-engagement inquiries and any documents you choose to share as confidential business correspondence. They are reviewed only by AHA’s principals, are not disclosed to anyone else except the service providers named in our privacy policy or as required by law, and are deleted or returned on request. What pre-engagement confidentiality is not: a privilege, or the contractual confidentiality obligations of an engagement — those arise only under a signed agreement.

No patient information

This website, the contact form, our general email, and the Client Desk are business channels, not channels for protected health information. Please don’t send patient names, records, or other identifying health information through any of them. If a message contains patient information anyway, we delete that information when we identify it and do not use or further disclose it. Any exchange of records that may contain patient information happens only through channels designated in a signed engagement agreement, with the safeguards that agreement requires.

Careers introductions

Introducing yourself through the careers page creates no obligation on either side and no employment relationship. What you send is handled as described in the privacy policy.

The Client Desk and other services

Third-party doors

The Client Desk links to services we use but do not operate: billing runs on Stripe, and engagement files live in Dropbox. Each is a separate service with its own terms and privacy policy, its own sign-in, and its own security. This site holds no accounts and stores nothing; access is issued per engagement. We choose these providers carefully, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their availability or their acts.

Links generally

Links from this site to anything we don’t operate are provided for convenience and don’t imply endorsement.

Ownership and acceptable use

What’s ours

The content of this site — the writing, the Field Notes, the Practice Stability Check framework, the Austin Healthcare Advisory name, and the AHA mark — is owned by Pointed Ventures LLC. You’re welcome to read everything and share links to it. Republishing, scraping, or using the name or mark requires our written permission.

Don’t misuse the site

Use the site as it’s intended to be used. Don’t submit false information through the contact form, interfere with the site’s operation, or use automated tools to harvest its content.

The legal frame

No warranties on site content

The site and its content are provided as they are. We work to keep everything here accurate and current, but we don’t warrant that it is complete, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose — and operational guidance ages as payers, rules, and markets change.

No guarantee of results; limits on liability

Nothing on this site is a promise of particular results. To the extent permitted by law, Pointed Ventures LLC is not liable for damages arising from your use of this website or reliance on its content. This limitation applies to the website; the responsibilities we take on in an engagement are defined — deliberately, and in writing — in the engagement agreement itself.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from use of this site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts sitting in Massachusetts.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Using the site after a change means the current version applies.
